Established in 2005, the Post Graduate Department of Commerce has grown into a vibrant centre of academic excellence, professional learning, and value-based education. The department began its journey with a single stream in Commerce and has gradually evolved into a multidisciplinary department offering specialised programmes that respond to the changing needs of business, industry, finance, taxation, logistics, marketing, and the global economy.

Flagship Initiatives

ALOITE is a prestigious paper presentation competition organised by the Post Graduate Department of Commerce. Initially launched as an interdepartmental event, ALOITE has evolved into a prominent intercollegiate academic competition. The event provides students with a platform to showcase their research, analytical, and presentation skills while encouraging academic excellence and a spirit of healthy competition among young scholars.

KAIROS, the Commerce Fest, is one of the major programmes organised by the department. Spanning two dynamic days, the fest brings together a vibrant mix of commerce-related competitions, quiz programmes, exhibitions, fashion shows, and cultural events. It celebrates the academic, creative, and organisational talents of students while providing them with opportunities to engage, compete, collaborate, and express their potential.

Workshops and Seminars: The department regularly organises workshops and seminars on diverse commerce-related areas, including Entrepreneurship, Research methodology, Logistics and supply chain management, GST, Leadership, Management, and Contemporary business practices. Its outreach initiatives include Food kit distribution, Medical camps, Distribution of educational materials to underprivileged students.
