With a focused vision of imparting solid foundation in Management principles, theories and practices and to equip students for challenging Entrepreneurial and Managerial positions, Department of Management was established in July 2005.
Since it’s inception. Holistic empowerment of the student community is given utmost importance. Various Curricular and Co-Curricular programs are designed and implemented in the department to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the students and to prepare them for Higher Studies as well as the Corporate World. Student centric Learning methodologies are followed in the department to bring out the best and latent talents of each student. The department serves as a hub to mould competent and socially committed Managerial professionals.
The faculty members in the Department of Management are distinguished scholars and experts who bring a wealth of real-world experience and student centric teaching methodologies into the classroom. Their commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship ensures that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for diverse career paths.
The Department offers a range of experiential learning opportunities, including internships, case study analysis, and collaborative projects with industry partners. These experiences enable students to apply their learning in real-world contexts, enhancing their problem-solving abilities and professional network.

Flagship Events

ICON – ICON is an Intercollegiate Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the Department of Management where students can pitch their innovative business ideas. ICON tries to bring out the best ‘budding entrepreneur’ by evaluating the feasibility of the business ideas proposed by the participants.

Vigyaan – Vigyaan is an inter department quiz competition hosted by the Department of Management to test and enhance students’ knowledge across various business domains. Vigyaan covers topics such as business management, current affairs, economic trends , sports , arts and literature etc. Vigyaan encourages a spirit of learning and intellectual engagement among students of RCMAS.

Workshops and Seminars

The Department of Management regularly organizes workshops on research methodology, entrepreneurship, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to enhance students’ academic and professional competencies.
Research Methodology workshops provide essential training in designing research projects, collecting and analyzing data, and effectively presenting findings, thereby strengthening students’ research skills.

Entrepreneurship Workshops inspire and equip students with the tips and tricks of starting and managing successful enterprises.

IPR workshops educate students about the critical aspects of protecting intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, ensuring that they understand the legal frameworks that safeguard innovation and creativity.

Horizon & Business Beats
The department magazine ‘ HORIZON’ portrays the articles and write ups of the students and includes insights into current business trends and issues. It serves as a platform for students to showcase their writing and analytical skills.
The newsletter ‘Business Beats ‘, on the other hand, provides regular updates on events, workshops, seminars, and competitions organized by the department in an academic year. ‘Business Beats’ proudly displays the prestigious placements and academic achievements secured by our students.

CSR & Extension Programs

The Department of Management is deeply committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and extension activities, emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership and community engagement. These initiatives include Learning Aid Distribution, medical aids and palliative care distribution , environmental sustainability projects, educational programs for underprivileged children, and various social awareness campaigns. These activities encourage students to contribute positively to society, fostering a sense of social responsibility and empathy.
