Ms. Amala Manavalan joined Rajagiri College in 2009 and has ever since strived to ensure the highest possible standards of excellence in all academic pursuits. Her expertise in serving the higher education sector in India and abroad, has been significant in optimizing the competency levels of under-graduate learners. The first college magazine- Rhapsody was published under her editorship. She has innovatively directed various inter and intra-collegiate literary fests of the department and is passionate about acting and public speaking. Her spheres of interest and specialization include Poetry, Theatre, Translation studies, Modern World Literature and Grammar. She is also professionally trained in Student-centered education, Learning disabilities, Remedial measures, Soft-skills training and Basic Counselling & Psychotherapy.

  • MA in English Language and Literature, Vimala College, Thrissur, Calicut University.
  • B.Ed, St. Joseph College of Education for Women, Ernakulam, M.G. University.
  • State Eligibility Test (SET), Kerala
