Plagiarism Policy

The Rajagiri Journal of Innovations and Multidisciplinary Research (RJIMR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original and free from plagiarism.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s ideas, words, data, or research findings without proper acknowledgment or citation. This includes:

  • Copying text or ideas from other sources without appropriate referencing
  • Presenting another author’s work as one’s own
  • Submitting previously published work without proper disclosure
  • Improper paraphrasing or reproduction of content without attribution

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection software as part of the editorial screening process. Manuscripts with excessive similarity or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected.

Acceptable Similarity Level

The journal generally accepts manuscripts with a similarity index not exceeding 15%, excluding references, quotations and commonly used phrases. Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the editorial board.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are entirely original and that all sources are properly cited. Authors must also ensure that the work has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

Action in Case of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate action, including:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript
  • Request for revision and proper citation
  • Retraction of the published article if plagiarism is discovered after publication
  • Notification to the author’s affiliated institution, if necessary

Ethical Compliance

By submitting a manuscript to RJIMR, authors confirm that their work complies with the journal’s plagiarism policy and accepted standards of academic and research ethics.
