Course Introduction
Digital Filmmaking: Shooting, Editing and Visual Effects is a practical and beginner-friendly value-added course open to students from all streams, including Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, Humanities and Social Sciences (BA, Social Work, Psychology), Animation and Design and other disciplines.No prior knowledge of camera handling or filmmaking is required and no DSLR camera equipment is needed to enroll in this course. The programme introduces learners to the fundamentals of digital video production such as shooting techniques, editing, colour correction and basic visual effects, enabling them to create engaging content for social media, reels, short films and digital media projects. This course is ideal for students who wish to explore creative expression and build practical media skills using simple and accessible tools. Learning activities are designed around accessible digital tools suitable for beginners.

The primary goals of this course are to:
- To transform students into independent digital content creators capable of producing engaging videos for social media platforms, reels and short films.
- To develop foundational skills in digital filmmaking, including shooting techniques, editing workflows, colour correction and basic visual effects.
