Course Summary:
This course covers 2D hand-drawn animation fundamentals such as drawing, character design, perspective, storyboarding, and animation principles. From hands-on exercises, students will gain the skill to produce energetic and expressive animations.
Course Aim:
The goal of this course is to assist students in exploring 2D hand-drawn animation by developing creativity, technical skill, and storytelling. It invites attempting new things as the foundation for learning the principles of animation.
Course Objectives:
This course assists in teaching the background of 2D animation as well as the 12 principles of animation. They will refine drawing, craft expressive characters through design, and make story boards. Students will learn major skills such as key-framing, in-betweening, and walk cycles, besides inking, colouring, and shading. At the culmination of the course, they will produce a short animation and assemble a portfolio of their work.

This course is open to ALL UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS, regardless of academic background. Students who are passionate about drawing are encouraged to join to further enhance their abilities.
